They Made Us

The title might not be transparent to you but it is the ultimate reality of our lives. We are the outcome of the people who gave us birth and of those who gave them birth and so on. 

Our GrandParents. Yes they have made us along with our parents. If you don't have your grandparents with you then you have missed some of the most valuable moments of your life but those who have might understand what I am talking about. 

Parents give us birth but "They" gave birth to innumerable values in us. They cultivate the land of our lives and make it fertile. We spend the moments of laughter as well as misery with them. Our childhood is incomplete without their lessons. 

Then we become ADULTS. Those who were our Buddies now become a Burden. We tend to forget the times we spend with them. We tend to forget the unconditional love they showered upon us. Why ? Just because now they need us. Just because now they want us. 

Adulthood carries with itself a bag full of responsibilities and with the weight of that bag, we forget our actual responsibility. We forget how they save us from our parents' anger , how our Grandma saves for us , how she used to fight with everyone just for our happiness, we forget how her recipes were the best in the world which she cooked for with all her love.

Yes we do forget everything they gave us without ever demanding anything from us. And we. We consider taking care of them as a ponderous task. Why? Are we so self-centred?
